About the Role

Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the management of the Balance Sheet and associated processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement controls to minimize risk on the balance sheet and highlight opportunities for improvements.
  • Present analysis and commentary on the consolidated Group Balance sheet to senior stakeholders monthly.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process, liaising with cross-functional teams, and serve as the key point of contact for our group's auditors.
  • Play a vital role in projects, such as the implementation of a new ERP system and wider transformation initiatives across finance.

Requirements

  • Be a fully qualified accountant with strong financial control experience in large and complex businesses.
  • Have extensive experience of balance sheet control and risk management.
  • Have extensive exposure to audit processes and liaison with external auditors.
  • Be available to start quickly and commit to a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
