A genuine enthusiasm for food and honey is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail and a strong desire to learn and develop new skills. A proactive attitude and a friendly demeanor are crucial, as is the ability to work independently when necessary. Previous experience in beekeeping, knowledge of bee health, and honey production is required. A solid understanding of plant and animal biology, along with the physical capability to handle heavy equipment, is necessary. Skills in carpentry and experience in frame construction are advantageous.

Applicants must hold a full clean driving licence.
