Workshop Operations Manager

Lookers, a leading motor vehicle retailer, is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art facility. As a Workshop Controller, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring the service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and motivate a team of technicians and apprentices to deliver high-quality service and repair work.
- Proactively review and prioritize the daily workload to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Assist the Service Manager in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to customers and achieves agreed profits and retention levels.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing relevant quality checks.
- Liaise with colleagues and other departments to ensure a top-quality service for customers.
- Schedule work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, the complexity of each job, and the availability of parts.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation.
- Awareness of quality control and inspection requirements of a workshop.
- Full valid UK driving license.
