About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our SEND team as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students with special educational needs and disabilities, while gaining valuable experience and training in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual support to students with SEND and other barriers to learning
  • Assist teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom
  • Support students with their learning, including reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • 3-5 GCSE qualifications or L2 equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Willingness to work towards a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • High standard of written and oral communication and good IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
