About the Role

Alderman Cogan's Church of England Primary School is seeking an Apprentice Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs to join their dedicated team. As an Apprentice SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a child with special educational needs throughout their school day, both in the classroom and during break times. You will be part of a 2-year apprenticeship program, learning both on and off the job to achieve a professional L3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and supporting children, with a basic understanding of childhood development. You will be able to communicate effectively with children, school staff, and parents/carers, and work well within a team. A commitment to keeping all children safe and being a positive role model is essential. Applicants should have at least four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and maths (or equivalent L2 qualifications).
