Overview

Role Responsibilities

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will utilize your clinical experience to evaluate how individuals' disabilities or health conditions impact their daily activities. Your work will involve:

  • Conducting assessments via telephone, video, or in-person to gauge the effects of health conditions on daily living.
  • Compiling Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility.
  • Enhancing your clinical knowledge and assessment capabilities through continuous feedback and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid HCPC registration number.
  • A minimum of one year of comprehensive post-registration experience, either within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential; sponsorships are not available.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for report writing is necessary.
