Job Summary:

U-Educate is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students in a school-based setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing academic and emotional support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Support: Provide one-to-one or small group supervision to students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Learning Support: Offer additional learning support as identified by the class teacher, helping students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Engagement and Motivation: Engage and motivate students to complete their work, promoting a love of learning and a positive attitude towards education.
  • Classroom Management: Support the class teacher in managing classroom behavior, creating a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress and development, helping to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • DBS Check: Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children.
  • Safeguarding: Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (U-Educate can provide a free course for candidates without a current certificate).
