About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Director to join our team at FinCh, a leading Investment Trust embarking on a ground-breaking new Real Estate programme. This ambitious project involves the creation of a cutting-edge, multi-use, mixed-site campus in Cambridge, featuring residential accommodation, a gym, restaurants, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of the technology infrastructure across the business and multi-site campus.
  • Oversee key systems, including website development, property management platforms, CAFM, WiFi, security cameras, and access control systems.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Engage and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support the long-term vision of the Real Estate programme.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, balancing strategic vision with attention to detail in execution.
  • Manage IT services such as network infrastructure, helpdesk, and business continuity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading an IT function, ideally within a fast-growing start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure management, including network systems, WiFi, CCTV, access control, and CAFM platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT strategies that drive business growth.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the detail where necessary.
