Job Title: Waking Night Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to children and young people aged 8-18 who are in need of short-term placements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users to promote their independence, wellbeing, and strengths.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date to support the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment for all service users and staff.
Requirements:
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
