Nursery Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Support Worker to join our team at Tops Portsmouth Nursery. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to children, helping to create a safe and engaging environment that promotes their educational and personal development. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the children receive the best possible care and attention.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to children, helping to implement their individual educational plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with the Room Manager and other staff members to ensure the children's needs are met
- Assist with behaviour management, equal opportunities, and SEN (Special Educational Needs) initiatives
- Keep accurate records of children's progress and update their IEPs as necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition of care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of Level 3 in Early Years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring and patient approach to working with children
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality
