Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support our client school in delivering high-quality education to their students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Class Teacher: Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stage 1.
- Individual and Small Group Support: Provide individual and small group support to students to enhance their learning and progress.
- Classroom Environment: Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students and promotes a love of learning.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
- Special Educational Needs: Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensure they have access to the curriculum.
- Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Teaching Materials: Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources to support lesson delivery.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the class teacher and school as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
- Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
- Safeguarding: A commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of all students.
- IT Skills: Basic IT skills for supporting learning and administrative tasks.
