CNC Machinist

Mansell Recruitment Group is representing a reputable manufacturer specializing in medical products. We are currently in search of a skilled CNC Machinist who possesses both online and offline programming expertise.

• CNC Programming: Utilize Alphacam software to create and enhance CNC milling programs derived from engineering drawings, CAD models, and various technical specifications.
• Program Validation: Conduct proving out of programs and perform initial inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Data Management: Oversee the CNC program database using Cimco, making decisions on the approval or rejection of CNC programs returned from the machines, while maintaining precise records of setup sheets and tooling information.
• Machine Setup: Prepare CNC milling machines by loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating machine settings to achieve optimal results. Monitor consumable levels and notify when supplies are low.
• Operational Excellence: Safely and effectively operate CNC milling machines to produce small batch and prototype components, ensuring adherence to production timelines and quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Utilize inspection equipment to perform first-off and in-process inspections, verifying part conformity to engineering specifications and making necessary adjustments as required.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in programming, setting up, and operating Fanuc-based CNC milling machines.
• CAD/CAM Software: Proficient in programming with a CAD CAM software package.
• Inspection Experience: Familiarity with final or in-line inspection processes.
• CNC Knowledge: Solid understanding and experience with 3 to 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Measurement Skills: Capable of utilizing a diverse range of measuring and inspection tools.
