Operations Manager Job Description

WB Power Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Huntingdon. As a key member of our Hire department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our depot, maintaining excellent housekeeping and HSE controls, and ensuring scheduled maintenance is carried out daily on our assets and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day running of the depot, including ensuring excellent housekeeping and HSE controls
  • Ensuring scheduled maintenance is carried out daily on our assets and associated equipment
  • Resolving any issues that may arise reactively and proactively
  • Working closely with the Depot team to ensure that all systems are updated, and accurate asset levels are recorded at all times
  • Collaborating with the Hire Service Director to ensure we can always deliver solutions to customers
  • Allocating assets and breakdowns received in the field, ensuring all engineers have allocated jobs
  • Attending client meetings and providing a market-leading service to all customers in your team
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed in your department
  • Traveling to Head Office in Heanor, at least monthly, to attend department meetings
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more years of experience in a field service or generator industry
  • Experience of customer-facing roles
  • Full UK driving license
  • Natural communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, thriving business
  • Able to work on own initiative
