About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Ward Manager to join our dynamic team in a leading mental health care setting. As a key member of the nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex mental health needs and neurodegenerative disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership on the ward, supporting the nursing team to deliver excellent clinical care and maintain clinical standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including close coordination with the site Consultant Psychiatrist, to deliver a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Manage and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and ensure high standards of care.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects on the ward, driving innovation and excellence in patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and statutory regulations, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
About You
  • Active Registration with the NMC and a strong commitment to Continued Professional Development.
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, with a desire to develop and maintain leadership skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good computer skills and experience in Mental Health services, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
