Job Title: Electronics Test Lead

Advanced Energy is seeking an experienced Electronics Test Lead to join our team. As a key member of our NPI team, you will be responsible for performing electronic tests of high voltage power supplies and developing products to meet project schedules and performance standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of circuitry and troubleshooting, with the ability to fault find down to component level and contribute to design development improvements.
  • Uses specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • Aids with training other AE global site employees in established processes or functions as a technical interface.
  • Acts as the primary point-of-contact and knowledge-holder/subject-matter expert for a work cell, team, or area.
  • Establishes and directs priorities for the team working with NPI build Lead and NPI Manager.
  • Owns the Training and development of NPI Test Technicians.
  • Organizes and executes schedules and daily work assignments as needed; drives teammates to hit established goals.
  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner and works under limited supervision.
  • Is accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth of the relevant area.
  • Helps eliminate obstacles for the work cell/team by tracking, supporting, and giving feedback through to final resolution.
  • Coordinates and owns the Test Daily Management process.
  • Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put, and cost reductions.
  • Ensures all quality processes and procedures are followed per department FP's.
  • Ensures a safe working environment for team; resolves or escalates potential hazards.
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ability to apply manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of basic PC programs (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of production/service procedures, ESD, 5S, and SAP.
  • Certified in all required production/service training per FP209.
  • Desirable: solid understanding of Materials/Logistics procedures, ECO process, and First Article process.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
  • Proven ability and experience leading a team and maintaining flexibility.
  • Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
  • Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
  • Assists in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
  • HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
