The Role:

The DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting developers while ensuring robust engineering practices. This includes understanding operating system design, database management systems, and software installation processes to guarantee smooth operations before releasing code onto production servers.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Constructing and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Designing, developing, and managing CI/CD pipelines for diverse application types, automating as many processes as possible
  • Managing the entire release process
  • Leading the team both technically and in daily activities, adhering to agile methodologies
  • Elaborating on and estimating stories, and planning the team's work
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Expertise:
  • Writing ARM templates, setting up automation for resource provisioning (Azure PowerShell)
  • Utilizing a second tool for Azure resource provisioning or configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef etc.)
  • Proficiency in Azure services (Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Storage Account)
  • Understanding of load balancers, virtual networks, and other core Azure components
  • Automated deployment strategies within the Azure ecosystem
  • Implementing monitoring and logging solutions for Azure infrastructure
  • Automated testing and continuous integration within Azure pipelines
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for Azure deployments
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its services
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
