Job Description:
About the Role:We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. As a Social Worker - UASC, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families, including those from unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide support to UASC and refugee young people and children, including placements and age/trafficking assessments.
- Use professional knowledge to assess, monitor, and review social care needs of individuals, relatives, and carers within a specific care group.
- Arrange, provide, or purchase appropriate services/care within the Department's agreed priorities and resource framework.
- Work in partnership with users, carers, relatives, and other agencies to identify current and future service requirements and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
- Qualified and registered Social Worker with experience in working with children and families, including those from vulnerable groups.
- Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
- Current drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
