About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Head of Service for Children's Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and operational management of our children's services in the Midlands region.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes and will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and manage a team of qualified social workers. You will also have a good understanding of child-related regulatory standards and legislation, as well as experience of ensuring services are managed in accordance with relevant government agendas and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic development and operational management of children's services in the Midlands region.
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Manage a team of qualified social workers and ensure they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government agendas and frameworks, including QA and compliance approaches.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and other partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of children's services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team of qualified social workers.
  • Good understanding of child-related regulatory standards and legislation.
  • Experience of ensuring services are managed in accordance with relevant government agendas and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
