Position Overview

Expleo Technology is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to provide technical support to our engineering team engaged in a significant Marine Defence initiative for a key client.

This role presents both challenges and rewards, requiring candidates to showcase their extensive experience and proven abilities in achieving project goals and technical delivery.

The Principal Engineer will primarily operate from Expleo's offices and will report directly to the Technical Authority and Business Manager.

We are in search of a proactive individual who upholds high standards in service delivery and recognizes the importance of fostering a motivated and engaged workforce to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate various technical functions within the project team to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Assist in the enhancement of capabilities to support project objectives.
  • Oversee the verification of deliverables.
  • Promote continuous improvement of processes.
  • Act as the technical focal point for the team, establishing strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to team leaders and members to keep the project on track.
  • Contribute to planning activities.
  • Advise on the implications of additional scope and changes.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Authority and functional teams to ensure technical governance aligns with Quality Management Systems.
  • Support ongoing risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and promote cost-saving initiatives.
  • Facilitate the development of team members' understanding of various functions involved in project delivery.
  • Advise on training requirements for individuals in support of the project.
  • Possess a qualification such as HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
