Job Title: Principal Structural Designer - Marine Structures and Seating

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Designer - Marine Structures and Seating to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for technically supporting the delivery of a Marine Defence project to a key client.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Integrate technical functions to ensure project requirements are met.
  2. Develop capabilities to support project delivery.
  3. Provide advice and support to team leaders and members to ensure project success.
  4. Consult on planning activities and technical governance.
  5. Work with the Technical Authority and functional team to ensure technical aspects comply with QMS.
  6. Support risk assessments and team member development.
  7. Consult on training needs for individuals supporting the project.
Requirements:

HNC/HND/Degree in mechanical engineering.

Essential Skills:
  1. Experience in Marine hardware, systems requirements, and standards.
  2. Leadership experience in delivering complex multi-functional projects.
  3. Marine Defence experience preferred.
  4. 10+ years of marine design experience, preferably with subsurface.
  5. Ability to empower professionals and develop skills.
  6. Expleo Academy training courses.
