About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Brambles. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance of our site and ensuring that our equipment and facilities are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance issues and delegate resources to the right skills in the team or external resources as required.
  • Provide support to engineering project teams as needed.
  • Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out and planning for missed maintenance activities.
  • Audit and ensure compliance of engineering data systems.
  • Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, and ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage facilities and develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure.
  • Support the process of installing new machinery and equipment and drawing up specifications.
  • Undertake continuous training and development of self and team.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

Requirements

  • City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC, or similar in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Technical/Professional Qualification - Electrical Engineering, Technical/Professional Qualification - Engineering Mechanics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
