Senior Engineer Opportunity at AKT II

AKT II is seeking to expand our talented team with experienced Senior Engineers in our offices. As a key member of our engineering team, you will engage in a variety of projects that span both local and international landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee structural engineering design initiatives across various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, and retail.
  • Participate in project meetings, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and create comprehensive design plans.
  • Ensure design efforts are well-coordinated and adhere to project schedules.
  • Manage internal project workflows and effectively allocate resources.
  • Conduct structural assessments, offer preliminary guidance, and execute design calculations.
  • Translate client specifications into detailed design solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to devise and present design concepts.
  • Generate design documentation and specifications for bidding processes.
  • Assist in construction phases, monitor site progress, and provide support to contractors.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Engage in technical discussions and training sessions to refine skills.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues from various disciplines and actively participate in team discussions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in structural design across multiple materials.
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant design software.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering structural solutions for intricate projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and CDM Regulations.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status with appropriate professional bodies.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of Structural Engineering.
