Role Overview

As the sole Private Client Lawyer, you will handle a diverse range of quality private client matters, providing expert legal advice and high service levels to clients while working independently on your own caseload. You will be responsible for drafting wills and Powers of Attorney for clients, administering estates, and providing Inheritance Tax Planning advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft wills and Powers of Attorney for clients, ensuring that their wishes are accurately reflected and their interests are protected.
  • Administer estates, managing the distribution of assets and ensuring that all necessary formalities are completed.
  • Provide Inheritance Tax Planning advice, helping clients to minimize their tax liability and maximize their wealth.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage your own workload efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Demonstrate proactive thinking and problem-solving skills, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3 years PQE, with a strong understanding of private client law and Inheritance Tax Planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Solid understanding of Inheritance Tax Planning, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
