Overview of the Apprenticeship

Key Responsibilities

As an educational support apprentice, you will assist educators and facilitate the educational and social growth of children, both within and outside the classroom environment.

Your role will encompass:

· Assisting learners in enhancing their Welsh language and literacy capabilities

· Providing support to students with additional learning requirements (ALN)

· Aiding pupils in developing their numeracy, literacy, and ICT competencies

· Supporting children across various activities in the classroom

· Familiarizing yourself with safeguarding and behavioral policies and understanding your role within these frameworks

· Promoting Welsh culture and heritage

· Engaging with children aged 3 to 6 years

· Collaborating with a teacher in diverse capacities within the classroom

· Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times while working in educational settings

Additional Information

Weekly Wage / Annual Salary

£8.60 per hour, increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 months

GCSE or equivalent
