Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse to join our Specialist Care Team at Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to children with life-limiting conditions, supporting them and their families in their homes, in our hospice, and in community settings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to children with life-limiting conditions, including those with complex medical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support children and their families in their homes, in our hospice, and in community settings, promoting choice and flexibility.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our palliative care services, ensuring they meet the needs of our patients and their families.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in paediatric palliative care.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid registration as a Registered Sick Children Nurse or Registered Nurse Child Branch.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience at staff nurse band 5 level, with a minimum of one year's experience of nursing children with life-limiting, life-threatening, or complex medical needs.
  • A teaching qualification, such as Mentorship SSSA or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake one.
  • Experience in supporting students on placement as a practice supervisor or practice assessor.
