Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced paediatric nurse to join our Specialist Care Team at The Ark, our stunning new building set in a north London nature reserve. As a Children's Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children who are staying with us at The Ark and those visiting us for day care. You will also support children in their family homes and in community-settings, providing families with choice and flexibility.

Main Responsibilities
  • Care for children who are staying with us at The Ark and those visiting us for day care
  • Support children in their family homes and in community-settings
  • Work collaboratively with our Specialist Care Team to provide high-quality, compassionate care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that meet the individual needs of each child
About You

We are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to seriously unwell children and their families. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills, be creative and want to make a positive difference to the charity. You will also have a teaching qualification and experience in supporting students on placement as a practice supervisor or practice assessor.

Person Specification
  • Registered Sick Children Nurse or Registered Nurse Child Branch
  • Relevant post-qualification experience at staff nurse band 5 level
  • Teaching qualification eg Mentorship SSSA or equivalent or willingness to undertake
  • Experience in supporting students on placement as a practice supervisor or practice assessor
