About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Manager to oversee operations across care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents.

As a Support Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, implementing effective policies and procedures, and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and management to ensure key roles are filled with the right people who are well-trained and equipped to excel in their positions.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and mentor care home managers and staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive work culture that reflects high standards and company values.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial and business performance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and business development. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and execute action plans to maintain compliance and manage risks effectively.
  • Care Quality and Environment: Enhance the quality of care and environment for residents by monitoring care delivery processes and outcomes, implementing improvements as necessary, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Address and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement performance monitoring and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
Requirements
  • NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Proven experience in managing a care home or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the care home industry.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Expertise in best practices for quality care and creating a supportive environment for elderly residents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
