Event Manager Job Description

Cranleigh School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team. As a key member of our External Relations and Admissions department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a wide range of events, from conferences and high-profile speakers to open days, drinks events, shows, and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage events from conception to delivery, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional attendee experience.
  • Work closely with the Directors of External Relations and Admissions to develop and implement event strategies that align with the school's goals and objectives.
  • Manage Front of House duties at events, ensuring that every attendee, delegate, and audience member has a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all events are delivered successfully.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality event delivery.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure efficient and effective event delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google products, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
