**Job Summary**

The Associate Actuarial Consultant will be a key member of our Actuarial Modernization team. This role will focus on developing and maintaining actuarial models used to produce statutory, GAAP, reinsurance, and economic projections. The successful candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science and experience with model development and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Lead Model QA Activities**
    • Create and maintain benchmark testing tools to validate and certify actuarial model implementation.
    • Execute test plans and test tools to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
    • Review and validate data transformation processes for model inputs.
    • Ensure all testing steps are fully documented.
  • **Support Model Change Impact Analysis**
    • Analyze the impact of model changes on actuarial results.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for model changes.
  • **Support Ad Hoc Analysis**
    • Provide analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • **Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams**
    • Work with actuarial control team, model production team, and IT team to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, or related field.
  • ASA with a minimum of 5 years of experience post-ASA. FSA is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Moody's AXIS preferred.
  • Experience with reinsurance and regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Experience with annuities and pension risk transfer deals preferred.
  • Solid programming and data analytics skills. SQL, VBA, C++ or equivalent preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to cope with stress and fast-paced changes.
