Position Overview
This is a fixed-term opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Lead Nurse within the Critical Care Services.
A Band 6 Lead Nurse role has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Critical Care professional within the Adult Critical Care Unit.
The Lead Nurse will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of patient care throughout the unit. This includes actively participating in and overseeing patient management, handling both scheduled and emergency admissions, and ensuring optimal staffing levels.
Confidence in leading the unit during the absence of senior nursing staff is essential, along with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in critical care nursing, demonstrate leadership capabilities within a specialized nursing team, and hold a postgraduate qualification in critical care.
They should be a collaborative team member, with strong communication skills and a composed approach to problem-solving.
A commitment to fostering an environment of continuous improvement and learning is vital to uphold the highest standards of care.
Additionally, a passion for a patient-centered approach is crucial, ensuring that the department remains organized and professional at all times.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience
