We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to join our dynamic team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality critical care services to patients in our intensive care unit.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Engage in teaching and training activities to support the development of our staff.
- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice.
- On Specialist Register for ICM or Anaesthetics with GMC Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalence.
- Valid Certified Advanced Life Support Skills.
- Broad based experience in Critical Care.
- Critical Care Medicine training and worked at a senior trainee level in Critical Care.
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems.
- Evidence of valid advanced life support skills.
- Knowledge and experience of communicating bad news.
- Meet the requirement of the GMC's "Good Medical Practice".
- Appropriate Higher Degree MD, PhD or MSc or equivalent.
- Further qualification in critical care medicine (FFICM, EDIC).
- Experience of NHS.
- Employment at consultant level in Critical Care in the NHS.
- Advanced Training In Critical Care.
- Accredited Training in Echocardiography and/or ultrasound (FICE, FUSIC).
- ATLS or similar.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
- Evidence of above average performance.
