Job Title: Children's Lead Commissioner

Liquid Personnel is working in partnership with Rutland Council to recruit a Lead Commissioner for Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a social worker with experience in placement finding and commissioning to take on a leadership role in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role

The Lead Commissioner will work closely with the Directorate Management Team to achieve value for money in commissioning placements across SEND and Children's Social Services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the effective commissioning of children's services placements
  • Supporting service managers with commission priorities and team development
  • Reporting progress to the Head of Service on commissioning priorities and budget savings
  • Leading fee and price negotiations with service providers
  • Developing new service delivery models for internal and external providers
