About the RoleThe Lead Commissioner will work closely with the Directorate Management Team to achieve value for money in commissioning placements across SEND and Children's Social Services. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the effective commissioning of children's services placements
- Supporting service managers with commission priorities and team development
- Reporting progress to the Head of Service on commissioning priorities and budget savings
- Leading fee and price negotiations with service providers
- Developing new service delivery models for internal and external providers
