About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing medical aspects of pain management in our Dorset Pain Management Service (DPMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement effective pain management strategies
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in pain medicine to our multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our service, including the design and implementation of new pathways and procedures
  • Work closely with our Experts by Experience to co-produce service developments and ensure that our services are patient-centered and effective
Requirements
  • General medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and a Licence to Practise
  • Membership of the Royal College of Anaesthetics or a recognised equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in pain medicine, including a bio-psycho-social perspective
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to the development and delivery of services
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership and expertise to a team
