Position Overview:
In this role, you will engage in the testing and validation of rail engines, transmissions, power packs, and cooling systems. Familiarity with diesel engine operations, as well as electrical and electronic control systems, is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and test production power products in accordance with established work instructions.
2. Ensure compliance with testing requirements for all products.
3. Accurately record data to maintain traceability.
4. Keep all documentation current and correctly filed.
5. Assist in developing testing criteria for upcoming products.
6. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
7. Collaborate with production teams on technical matters as needed.
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team efforts.
9. Mentor trainees and apprentices when applicable.
10. Gather failure data and provide insights on issues to the engineering team.
11. Be prepared to work overtime as necessary.
12. Adhere to the company's health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times.
13. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager to support Wabtec Faiveley UK's objectives.
14. Accept additional responsibilities or tasks that align with your skills and capabilities.
15. Maintain a reasonable level of computer proficiency, as all test cells are computer-controlled.
