About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients across various specialties, including coronary care, acute stroke, trauma, and orthopaedics.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-focused care and improve health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement medicines management systems and processes to optimize patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and assistants to ensure high-quality training and development.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical pharmacy services and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Professional knowledge of medicines management systems and processes in an integrated NHS.
  • Experience of teaching and supervision of pharmacists, technicians, and assistants.
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience/qualifications.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Accredited Pre-registration Tutor.
  • Accredited Diploma Pharmacy Tutor.
  • Independent Prescriber.
Key Skills
  • Flexibility to undertake emergency duty, including weekends, Bank Holidays, and evening opening.
  • Ability to travel between sites and outside the organization.
  • Understanding and commitment to continuing professional development.
