Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering multi-site Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) support for New Homes projects. Your duties will include:
  • Providing advice, guidance, and support through effective engagement and challenge with project teams and supply chain.
  • Supporting the United Living/New Homes Safety Standards by implementing a comprehensive SHEQ Strategy.
  • Offering extensive SHEQ support and advice to New Homes projects.
  • Monitoring site performance utilizing United Living systems.
  • Guiding and advising projects on the application of the business management system, policies, and procedures.
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvements in SHEQ performance.
  • Participating and assisting the bid/pre-construction teams as necessary based on risk assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
  • The ability to recommend preventative measures, develop new initiatives, and coordinate their implementation.
  • A solid understanding of CDM Regulations, particularly concerning Client, Principal Designer, and Principal Contractor roles.
  • Experience in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience in high-rise concrete frame construction in urban settings.

A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is required, along with a current full UK driving license. Membership in a safety or environmental professional body or engineering institute at incorporated or chartered level is preferred.

We value individuals who lead by example, demonstrating a 'Don't Walk By' attitude to challenge unsafe practices. Strong self-motivation, time management skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in IT with a keen eye for data accuracy is also important, as is the willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
