We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our team at Celsa Steel UK. As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's Environmental Management Systems (EMS) are maintained and managed across our sites in Cardiff and our scrap yards across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure specific areas remain compliant and certified to ISO14001
  • Collate and analyse environmental data
  • Escalate concerns to the Environment Manager, including permit breaches
  • Support the collection of information for investigations into permit breaches and environmental incidents
  • Lead and run environmental compliance meetings with relevant areas
  • Challenge and support operational areas to deliver their environmental actions in a timely way
  • Coach operational teams on EMS and Environmental Permit Regulations (EPR)
  • Deliver specific environmental training and awareness to employees
  • External stakeholder engagement through collation and publication of reports
  • Planning and scheduling of contracted environmental site work
  • Undertake site audits, EMS audits, and duty of care contract audits
  • Facilitate site audits and certifications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Write, review, and update procedures inline with document control policy
  • Support operational units with compliance to EMS for allocated operational areas

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of ISO14001 Management System
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Experience in relevant industrial industry
  • Practitioner member of IEMA would be desirable
