Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team at BCT Resourcing. This role is crucial for managing and enhancing our client's environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and programs in line with ISO 14001 standards, ensuring a strong foundation for our client's environmental management system.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations, mitigating risks and maintaining a positive reputation.
- Conduct thorough environmental audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to optimize our client's environmental performance.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, emissions, and energy consumption throughout the manufacturing process, promoting a culture of sustainability.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, providing detailed insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions, fostering a culture of sustainability across the organization.
- Provide training and support to employees on environmental issues and best practices, ensuring a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and external stakeholders regarding environmental matters, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring compliance.
- Stay updated on environmental trends, legislation, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement, driving our client's sustainability journey forward.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
