Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at LCP in West London. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing the needs of students and providing targeted interventions to support their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' sensory, motor, and self-care skills to determine eligibility for Occupational Therapy provision.
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to address students' specific needs and facilitate their participation in school activities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' educational plans and learning environment.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of intervention effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to optimise outcomes.
  • Conduct training and support to teaching staff on strategies and techniques to promote students' functional skills and independence within the classroom setting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, case notes, annual review reports, and intervention plans in accordance with regulatory standards and LCP policies.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings to contribute expertise and ensure coordinated care for students with complex needs.
Requirements
  • HCPC and RCOT registration
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy
  • Up to 1 year of paediatric Occupational therapy experience
Desirable
  • Experience working within specialist paediatric settings
  • Experience working within school settings
  • Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care plans
  • Specialist CPD and/or training
Working Conditions
  • Primarily school-based with opportunity to work within the clinic setting
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and other professionals in a collaborative team working environment
  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunity to do administration from home
