About the Role

Pure 4 Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3D Designer to join our team. As a 3D Designer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets for various projects, including product designs and visualisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • 3D Asset Creation: Responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets for various projects, including product designs and visualisations.
  • Industry-Standard Software: Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar tools.
  • CAD Software: Proficient in industry-standard CAD software such as Adobe CC.
  • Lighting and Rendering: Strong understanding of lighting, shading, sculpting and rendering techniques is essential.
  • Texture and Material Creation: Develop textures, materials, and lighting setups.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all 3D assets meet project specifications.
  • Review and Critique: Review and critique 3D assets to ensure quality standards.
  • Concept Presentations: Prepare both 2D and 3D materials for effective concept presentations.
  • Performance Optimisation: Optimise 3D models for performance and quality.
  • Library Management: Create and maintain a library of 3D assets.
  • Design Consistency: Ensure consistency and accuracy in all 3D designs.
  • Brainstorming and Idea Generation: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contributing to generating new creative ideas in designing new play experiences for new and existing brands and product lines.
  • Industry Trends and Software: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and software.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, technical issues related to software functionality, formatting and compatibility.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Design Capabilities and Efficiencies: Stay updated on the latest features and updates in 3D software to enhance design capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Prototype Development: Working collaboratively with a team of buyers, merchandisers and QC to develop prototype packs for sales pitches and customer showcases for new products.
  • Trend Identification: Use your creativity and expertise identifying trends within the market to produce commercial and trend-led designs.
  • Retailer Requirements: Understanding specific retailer requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Problem solving for any issues that arise internally for a solution before approaching the customer.
  • Team Support: Willingness to assist colleagues in other departments during peak times.
  • Product Turnover Specifications: Ensure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications that are fully understood by our factories.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in 3D Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Portfolio: Portfolio showcasing previous 3D design work.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender.
  • Lighting and Rendering: Strong understanding of lighting, shading, sculpting and rendering techniques.
  • 3D Preparation for Manufacturing: Ability to 3d prepare artwork for manufacturing.
  • 3D Printing Knowledge: Knowledge, understanding of 3d printers.
  • Texture and Material Creation: Experience with texturing and material creation.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills - confident speaking to internal and external customers.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CAD Software: Knowledge of CAD software such Adobe cc suite.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Adaptable and can work across multiple design projects whilst remaining flexible and keeping keen attention to detail.
  • Brand and License Management: Capable of working on own brand and license brands and following guidelines whilst pushing the boundaries to achieve the best possible solution.
  • Microsoft Office: Understanding of basic Microsoft Office tools.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Effective time management, able to quickly ascertain when to deep dive on projects or when to keep things light and explain your thinking to colleagues and managers.
