About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Sudlows, a leading technical services company in the UK. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing electrical services for data centre design and build projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for data centres and comms rooms
  • Specify electrical engineering services for critical environments
  • Produce electrical schematics and layout drawings for tender and construction
  • Perform electrical design calculations and lighting design using Relux/Dialux
  • Conduct condition surveys and write engineering reports
  • Attend site surveys and develop proposals for submission
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and provide drawing information for work package quotations
  • Work with the procurement team to procure necessary equipment and review purchase orders
  • Communicate with site managers and site engineers to manage installation and commissioning activities
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in electrical design and building projects, preferably in data centres
  • Proficiency in Amtech design software, AutoCAD/Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a design team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
