Data Centre Design Engineer - Role Overview

Sudlows is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Design Engineer to join our team. As a Data Centre Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of data centre projects, working closely with clients to provide specialist expertise and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality designs and proposals for data centres and critical facilities, coordinating with the wider design team as required.
  • Develop and manage specifications for data centre and critical environment projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and assess project requirements.
  • Undertake data centre audits, either individually or as part of a team, to ensure compliance with data centre engineering standards and best practices.
  • Manage the distribution and sharing of design information with other departments, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical experience in data centre engineering projects, with a bias towards either mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Fully proficient with office software, including MS Office, and able to produce high-quality professional documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and on the telephone.
  • Experience with CAD, 3D, and BIM software, with support from our dedicated CAD team available where needed.
