Electrical Design Manager

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join their leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers, while remaining involved in exciting project work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a small team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers to deliver high-quality electrical engineering and hardware design solutions.
  2. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure solid delivery plans are in place for all electrical engineering and hardware design work packages.
  3. Provide technical direction, embrace innovation, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and legal regulations.
  4. Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of electrical engineering and hardware design resources.
  5. Develop, maintain, and improve electrical design processes and procedures and ensure their compliance.
  6. Develop and maintain supplier and sub-contractor relationships to ensure the availability of high-quality short-term/temporary resources to support peak demands.
  7. Collaborate with Manufacturing management and supervision to ensure processes, standards, and methodologies are aligned between the two departments.
  8. Monitor the team's output in line with project requirements, and audit the quality of work being produced to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical delivery/management role.
  3. Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
