About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our team at VIVID Housing. As a key member of our community investment team, you'll play a vital role in creating and implementing innovative projects that benefit the North Town community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver community investment projects, ensuring effective implementation and review.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external organizations, including local authorities and community groups, to foster a positive environment for our customers.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources and program management within set budgets and timelines, addressing pressing community issues such as mental health, public transportation, and substance misuse.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and present achievements to VIVID and Rushmoor Borough Council, in collaboration with residents.
  • Secure external funding through grant applications and fundraising activities.
  • Perform ad hoc site inspections to ensure community centers are effectively managed, comply with health and safety legislation, and provide suitable space for social enterprises.
Requirements
  • Good awareness and understanding of the Social Housing sector, including section 106 requirements and associated funding.
  • Proficiency in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles and practices, with the ability to leverage community strengths and resources for sustainable development.
  • Experience in developing and leading community projects, with confidence in building relations with internal and external customers.
  • A full current driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
