Key Responsibilities
You will oversee a substantial non-pay expenditure, ensuring that strategies for product and supplier standardization are in place to deliver value and improve procurement services.
Reporting to the Clinical Procurement Advisor, your role will be to establish a crucial connection between clinical staff and procurement operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating informed decision-making regarding clinical products, and developing interdepartmental cost control initiatives.
- Managing the relationship between clinical and procurement functions to foster innovative practices and ensure compliance.
- Providing clinical expertise and advice to the procurement team, ensuring adherence to standardized products and optimizing catalog offerings.
- Collaborating with suppliers and product evaluation groups to support the Trust's sustainability and cost improvement initiatives.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- A degree-level clinical qualification.
- Post-qualification experience across various disciplines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management.
- Relevant post-registration qualifications.
Desirable Qualifications
- Completion of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Code of Ethics.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of spreadsheets.
