Job Title: Head of Procurement

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the procurement function for the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Northampton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the group's total non-pay procurement of over £230m, providing a full specialist service to the Trusts and associated customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the procurement departments of both Leicestershire Partnership Trust and Northampton Healthcare Foundation Trust
  • Provide technical guidance, operational guidance, and advice on strategic sourcing, tendering, and contracting to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and delegate the procurement work plan, including budget holder and staff management responsibility for the two procurement teams
  • Lead any transformation work across both procurement teams, considering differing procedures, HR policies, and financial requirements
  • Provide a high-quality, effective, and client-focused procurement service to all relevant stakeholders to ensure Value for Money (VfM) for all commercial transactions
  • Represent the Trusts in national forums, building collaborative relationships where appropriate
  • Develop and implement a Group-wide procurement strategy and ensure relevant processes are in place to support it
