We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Property Management Officer to join our team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. As a key member of our Property Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our homeless families living in temporary accommodation receive a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of properties to ensure they are suitable and well-maintained for our homeless families.
- Respond promptly to repair issues, with a focus on eliminating damp and mould from properties.
- Build strong relationships with service users, private landlords, repairs teams, and other stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.
- Proactively seek solutions to issues raised, often on-site or in the office, including neighbour disputes, repairs, safety, and suitability concerns.
- Effectively manage cases to completion, prioritizing tasks and communicating regularly with stakeholders.
- Conduct health and safety inspections to ensure properties and their surroundings are safe for residents.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to listen and support vulnerable individuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse client groups.
- Basic knowledge of property management, with a willingness to learn and develop skills on the job.
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
- Empathy and listening skills, with the ability to recognize and respond to the needs of service users.
