Job Summary

The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engagement Advisor to join its Wellbeing and Inclusion Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in staff engagement and health and wellbeing, and to contribute to the Trust's commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of its workforce.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the Trust's People Strategy, with a particular focus on staff engagement, health, and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the Senior Wellbeing and Inclusion Advisor to develop and implement key projects and initiatives, including the health and wellbeing agenda and the annual joint flu and Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
  • Develop and review key policies and procedures relating to staff engagement and health and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and take minutes/actions arising from the Occupational Health Service Review meeting.
  • Support the contract monitoring of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services contract to ensure it is being delivered to the service specification.
  • Lead the Trust's annual staff survey/pulse survey process, working with divisional/service area HR Teams to co-ordinate the process and develop and implement local action plans.
  • Work in partnership with the Communications Team to promote health and wellbeing, staff survey, pulse survey, and other initiatives to enhance staff engagement and promote positive health and wellbeing of the workforce.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a CIPD qualification (or be prepared to study) and a degree-level education. They will also have a proven track record of operating in an operational HR/wellbeing environment, with experience of advising managers on staff engagement and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload and work effectively in a team.

They will also have a genuine commitment to improving people practices within the Trust and be able to work from home and travel to various Trust sites as required.
