Vehicle Damage Assessor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at FMG Repair Services in Sheffield. As a key member of our bodyshop, you will be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles, determining the extent of the damage, and preparing estimates for repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of the damage
  • Determine the prescribed repair method and prepare estimates for repair
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair the vehicle
  • Work effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain and ensure understanding of the repair methodology
  • Stay up-to-date with all repair methodologies and manufacturer literature

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA/IMI qualified with a solid Bodyshop background
  • Full UK driving licence
