Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at FMG Repair Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and estimating damage to vehicles across multiple sites in the South Yorkshire and Nottingham area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess the extent of damage
  • Estimate repair costs and timescales
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methodologies
  • Stay up-to-date with Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator
  • Knowledge of Audatex and NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA/IMI qualification
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
